DC GUN BAN STRIKEN DOWN

I thought I would start off by saying that I felt very excited to read the following article on the Washington Post.
However, it says that you can have guns in your home but not on the streets of DC.  Is this really anything new? Last year they mentioned this... that the DC Court of Appeals overturned barring guns in homes (March 2007).  Then in November 2007 DC asked the Supreme Court to uphold their strict gunban.  Then this back and forth led to Congress mentioning that this kinda sorta violates the 2nd Amendment...so they had hearings and voila! Overturned once again.

My question is...if the only place in DC that you can have guns is the Capitol building...then HOW do Representatives get them there?
ILLEGALLY OF COURSE ;-)
They were officially supposed to have a police officer transport the weapons for them.
But how often do you think that happened?

And previously you could have long guns in your home.  I just don't see the real purpose of reversing the ban if people can't even have a license to carry.
Any thoughts?

Well oh well.  I will write more later on cool things I have been able to take part in at my internship!
Today I met John Strock, author of books "Reagan on Leadership" and "Theodore Roosevelt on Leadership".
Very cool guy! Very very nice, good speaker, very smart.

It's almost quittin' time.
